I am a huge Monopoly fan! What better way than to mix it will all of my favorite Nintendo characters? It is a classic game with a contemporary twist and still teaches kids, and some adults, basic math skills and even optimum business strategy. You really can't go wrong with Monopoly, especially if it has Mario and Luigi!

Its a combination of original Monopoly with a twist of Mario. Our whole famlly enjoys playing this after dinner. Sure beats having the kids play video games.

Monopoly is (to me, at least) the type of game you suggest playing when you're with your buddies and at that time it sounds like a great idea. Skip ahead forty minutes later and you're eagerly anticipating the moment your friend finally goes bankrupt. That, or you just outright quit playing.

This iteration doesn't intend to fix that, but it surely makes you tolerate the game for far longer. Everything in the game gets the Nintendo treatment, and a nice little touch you'll notice is that the characters of a certain monopoly reflect the colors of their respective spaces (e.g. The pink spaces are all Kirby characters because Kirby is pink, get it?) I was disappointed that the paper money didin't get the same treatment, instead opting to show Mario in a variety of poses.

The one concept I don't understand is; What are you buying? In the original you buy property. In this version, instead of buying famous Nintendo locales, you just buy the characters outright. If that's so, what are the other players paying for when they land on my humanoid possessions?!?! I just don't get it.

But hey, what can I say? If you're a monopoly fan, you already know what you're getting with this.

Authentic Monopoly but with an update. I was expecting a "cute" product and I was pleased to see a well-constructed and well thought out game with appeal for everyone.
