Great Product, Not Recommend this ColorNov 02, 2009
I love the Yogitoes Skidless Towel, I cannot do yoga without one. This color is beautiful, but it still bleeds when I wash it. I have probably washed it 5 or 6 times at least and it has to be washed by itself still. This is more a Yogitoes problem then Amazon or the seller.

I was having problems with sliding on my mat, so someone recommended this product. It really helped with the sliding, and I believe will keep my mat from ware and tear. However, the only thing that bothers me is that it gets bunchy at my feet. I ended up folding it and just using it for my hands and that worked nicely. There is just towel sized ones that I would recommend highly.

I finally broke down and got one of these towels, and I'm very happy with it. I had been using a beach towel that bunched up and got in my way during class. I never realized just how inconvenient that towel was until I got my yogitoes towel.

This towel is very thin but still very absorbent. I got a bright blue one with bright orange trim because it was significantly cheaper ($25) than any of the other colors. I'm not wild about the color combination but it'll do. I like the big orange dot that is "painted" at the end of the towel--its sort of like a plastic iron-on transfer. It makes a nice drishti for some of the seated and floor poses. My only complaint is that I've only used my towel twice and this orange dot is already cracked. I'm betting it won't be long between it starts peeling off. But to me, this is a very minor flaw.

Tonight I noticed that my classmates have yogitoes towels with fabric dots that have been sewn on. Maybe the plastic dot is why my towel costs less than others. Otherwise, the towel looks to be very durable and I'm sure I'll be enjoying it for a very long time.

I highly recommend this product. Even at $45, these towels are worth it.

a little disappointingOct 15, 2009
I had high expectations for this product, and so far, it has come up a little short. I do like the idea of a hygenic barrier between myself and the yoga mat, especially if you are using the mats at the gym or yoga studio. However, I find that the towel is not exactly "skidless". It slips around a lot more on the mat than I was expecting. I find it harder to really plant my feet and hold a pose than when using a mat alone. I still continue to use it, but I think I might just buy a new yoga mat for myself and skip the towel.

I love having this towel in hot yoga class. At the very beginning when I am not sweaty yet my hands slip a little, but i'd rather have that problem for 5 minutes than be sliding on my yoga mat for the other 70 minutes of class. The towel doesn't move around on my mat at all during class either. After hot yoga, I love being able to wash the towel instead of feeling like I have sweat all over my mat that is difficult to disinfect.

However, I got the red towel which has continued to bleed after many washes. I washed it twice (alone, thank goodness) before I ever used it on my mat - it turned the inside of my dryer pink, and has still continued to bleed color onto my yoga mat. I will never wash the towel with any other item because of this. I would recommend getting either white or a color that matches your yoga mat - my green mat has pink tint all over it. One good thing about this mat and its washability is that you can put it in the dryer (on low) - I have seen imitation towels at Target that you are supposed to line dry.
